Wet wipes and cloths — ready to use

Wet wipes combine a cleaning cloth with a ready-to-use solution. There’s no need to prepare a cloth separately, dispense the solution from a bottle, or dilute a concentrate. Simply take another wipe directly from the tube or bucket.

MERIDA’s product line includes items for two different purposes: surface cleaning and hand and surface disinfection. Before making a selection, you should therefore determine whether your goal is to remove dirt or to use a product with biocidal properties.

Cleaning or Disinfection — What’s the Difference?

Cleaning primarily involves removing dirt, dust, grease, and stains from surfaces. MERIDA SUPER BŁYSK wipes are designed for this purpose.

Disinfection serves a different purpose and requires the use of a product with the appropriate declared efficacy and supporting documentation. Products in this category include MERIDA POLANA DDR+ and the alcohol-free MERIDA VADO SOFT.

A cleaning wipe does not become a disinfectant simply because it is damp or saturated with a cleaning solution. If disinfection is required, choose a product specifically designed for that purpose and use it according to the label instructions.

SUPER BŁYSK Wet Wipes for Daily Cleaning

MERIDA SUPER BŁYSK are wipes designed for cleaning water-resistant surfaces. They remove dust, grease, dirt, and fingerprints, among other things.

They can be used on surfaces such as stainless steel, countertops, stoves, refrigerators, sinks, faucets, tiles, glass, and mirrors.

The wipe is pre- with cleaning solution, so in most cases, there is no need to rinse the surface with water after wiping. For glass, mirrors, and other shiny surfaces, it’s best to polish the surface immediately after cleaning to minimize streaks.

SUPER BŁYSK is ideal for offices, hotels, restaurants, kitchens, bathrooms, reception areas, service facilities, break rooms, and at home.

Disinfectant Wet Wipes

If the goal is disinfection, choose a product specifically designed for that purpose.

MERIDA POLANA DDR+ are wipes designed for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection as well as surface disinfection. The formula contains ethanol, isopropanol, and phenoxyethanol, and the product is authorized for sale as a biocidal product.

MERIDA VADO SOFT is an alcohol-free variant designed for hand disinfection and the disinfection of water-resistant surfaces. The product is claimed to have bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal effects.

Biocidal products should always be used in accordance with the label, the required contact time, and the guidelines for the specific surface.

For clinics, medical facilities, and the beauty industry

Disinfectant wipes can be a convenient solution in doctors’ offices, medical facilities, physical therapy clinics, beauty salons, podiatry clinics, and service salons—anywhere their use aligns with the procedures in place at that location.

A single wipe can be quickly removed from the container without having to prepare a separate cloth or disinfectant solution.

In such applications, it is particularly important to distinguish between regular cleaning and disinfection. SUPER BŁYSK is intended for cleaning, while for tasks requiring disinfection, you should select the appropriate POLANA DDR+ or VADO SOFT product and follow the instructions on its label.

Wet wipes for the food service industry and kitchens

In the food service industry, pre-moistened wipes can help quickly keep countertops, equipment, and other water-resistant surfaces clean.

SUPER BŁYSK is ideal for the routine removal of grease, dust, and dirt from kitchen surfaces.

If a disinfectant is required, choose a product specifically designed for disinfection and check the guidelines for surfaces that come into contact with food. For example, with VADO SOFT, surfaces intended for food contact must be rinsed with potable water after the required contact time has elapsed.

Tube or bucket?

It’s a good idea to choose the packaging based on how often you use the product.

Tube

The tube takes up very little space and works well at a workstation, in an office, a service vehicle, a reception area, a kitchen, or any other place where tissues are needed on an as-needed basis.

Selected variants contain 100 sheets.

Bucket

Larger bucket systems are designed for regular use and locations with higher consumption.

Available options include rolls containing 260 or 322 sheets. The bucket can later be refilled with a compatible refill pack instead of having to buy a complete set with the container every time.

Ready-to-use set or refill pack?

If you’re using the product for the first time, choose the tube or bucket option.

Once the wipes are used up, you can purchase the appropriate refill. Before ordering, check the product code and ensure the refill is compatible with your dispenser.

This solution is particularly convenient for cleaning companies, restaurants, hotels, medical offices, and other facilities where wipes are used regularly.

Cotton nonwoven fabric

The wipes in these systems are made of cotton nonwoven fabric. The material is absorbent and durable when wiping surfaces.

The size of the wipe and the length of the roll vary depending on the variant. Smaller wipes work well for spot cleaning or disinfection, while the larger size makes it easier to wipe down larger surfaces.

How to choose the right wipes?

First, determine the intended use:

removing dirt, grease, and dust – choose a cleaning product,
disinfection – choose an appropriate biocidal product,
frequent use – consider a larger bucket and refill packs,
spot treatment – a tube may be more convenient,
surfaces that come into contact with food – check the instructions for the specific product,
hand disinfection – choose a product whose documentation specifies this use.

It’s not a good idea to choose a product based solely on the number of wipes in the package. Other factors that matter include the size of the wipe, the type of product, its intended use, the required contact time, and the surface on which the product will be used.
